Jamshedpur: East Singhbhum district has shown a remarkable improvement in the Jharkhand Intermediate Arts examination results this year. Compared to last year, the district has moved up from 15th place to 12th place in the state rankings. The improved performance reflects the hard work of students, teachers, and educational institutions across the district. According to the result data, the district recorded an impressive pass percentage of 97.28 percent this year, which is considerably higher than the previous year’s result. In 2025, the district had achieved a pass percentage of 95.61 percent in the Arts stream. This year’s improvement of 1.37 percent indicates a positive trend in the academic standards of the district.

Over Ten Thousand Students Appeared in Examination

A total of 10,120 students from East Singhbhum appeared for the Intermediate Arts examination this year. Out of them, 9,845 students successfully passed the examination. The district’s overall pass percentage of 97.28 percent is also higher than the state average pass percentage of 96.14 percent. Education officials and teachers have expressed satisfaction over the performance, stating that students from both urban and rural areas contributed equally to the district’s success. The strong results have brought pride to schools, colleges, and families throughout East Singhbhum.


Majority of Students Secured First Division

The results also revealed outstanding academic performance among students in terms of division-wise achievements. Out of the successful candidates, 6,121 students secured First Division marks, demonstrating excellent academic standards in the district.In addition, 3,556 students passed in Second Division, while 168 students secured Third Division. The large number of First Division holders reflects the increasing focus on quality education and consistent preparation among students. Only 271 students failed to clear the examination this year. As a result, the failure percentage remained very low at just 2.67 percent, which further highlights the district’s overall academic progress.

District Performs Well Despite Large Student Strength

Officials noted that East Singhbhum’s achievement becomes even more significant considering the large number of students appearing in the examination. While districts like Gumla recorded a pass percentage of 99.52 percent and Khunti achieved 99.46 percent, East Singhbhum managed to maintain strong performance despite handling over ten thousand candidates. Education experts believe that managing such a high success rate with a large student population reflects the efficiency of schools and the dedication of teachers in the district. The district’s contribution also played an important role in the overall state results.Across Jharkhand, around 2,11,095 students appeared in the Intermediate Arts examination this year, making East Singhbhum one of the major contributors to the state-level academic statistics.

The announcement of the results created an atmosphere of joy and celebration in schools and colleges across Jamshedpur and other parts of the district. Students expressed happiness over their achievements and credited their teachers and parents for continuous support and motivation.
